Bruins is for beginner to intermediate riders ages 6-9. Join a 6-week skills-progression on Wednesdays with fun adventures in the forest on trails! Sessions will start at Shastice Park but most will include a parent shuttle to a guided/coached downhill ride on the Gateway Trails. Our new pedal bikers will progress from the most basic techniques on the bike such as balance, stance, bike body separation, and braking to implementing these on easy rides on the 10 Gallon trails.

Mandatory for Participation:

• Riders must enjoy the challenge of riding easy to intermediate trails, both up and down hills

• Mountain bike: 20″ wheels minimum; must have 2 brakes, gears and wide tires

• Gear: helmet, gloves & clothing layers for rainy / cold / hot / mountain weather and higher elevation riding locations

• Pack: water, snacks, extra tube & multi tool on every ride
